I’m Kerry, a serial crafter who has been making quilts and sewing bags since 2011. I don’t exclusively make one kind of quilt, but I do design most of what I make. I’m mostly known for making animal portrait quilts with turned edge applique, and I wish there were more days in the week to make more of them. My book(ette) Paint by Number Quilts (Stash Books) shows you how to make four different animal designs, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
You can also find my work in magazines such as British Patchwork and Quilting. See the Magazines page for a full list. I’m also a founding member of the East Midlands Modern Quilt Group, and current member of Calgary Modern Quilt Guild.
PennyDog is named after our first – old – greyhound Penny, whom we rehomed in 2007. In March 2014 we got our current dog – a Pointer puppy called Hank. I lived in Leicestershire, in the UK with my husband and Hank until January 2015, when we relocated to Calgary, Canada.
