My 2015 Q1 Finish Along Goals {plus linky giveaway winner}
Happy New Year folks, I’ve got quite a bit on my plate this year quilty-wise so once more I am going to link up with the Finish Along (now hosted by Adrianne) for a fourth year! This isn’t everything, but I have that many WIPs in stages, I’m going to be realistic with what I might be able to achieve, rather than getting overwhelmed.
This year I have a few magazine projects lined up and I’m also doing more actual writing about the art and community of it all, so that’s quite cool.
Without further ado…
I need to finish this in its entirety in the next fortnight. It’s an easy win this one and it will be for the Schnitzel and Boo mini swap. I’ve had no feedback to suggest my partner likes it but I’m going for it anyway! Second image is the plan I am following.
Left A-Lone Star is still in the same state I left it in six months ago. I have the quilting left to do. Maybe I’ll make it a little less complicated than my sketch. I have my stitch in the ditch plate for my walking foot now, specifically to make this job neater.
This top needs to become a finished quilt. I haven’t made the back yet but I want to baste it at the village hall this weekend at the EMMQG meeting as my floors aren’t big enough at home.
Another new project, I want to make a pieced circle quilt with my collection of Hadley prints. I’ve made my templates and started on my first round, of which I expect to make 20 12″ blocks of in total.
In this quarter I have another magazine promised quilt but I haven’t started cutting it yet, plus I have the UK mini swap too in addition to those above so I’m not going to put on my Baby Jane layer cake, Hello Chevron or my scrappy log cabins this month, nor am I going to worry about the Georgetown quilt I started.
I have tons more ideas on paper (such as Pancakes that I mentioned a few posts back), plus the BOM to continue and I’d like to design a new bag using my Gardenvale charm pack and reupholster some stools with fussy cut hexies that I planned to do for Sewvivor but I only get about 8-10 hours sewing time on a good week so I must be realistic!
I’ve not drawn the winner from the linky party yet (or visited all of your brilliant posts but I will!!), so out of the 16 entries Mr Random picked…
Which is…
Congrats Celine!

Hello Kerry happy new year. I have decided 2015 will be the year I get all those half-done, half-started or just half-planned projects finished. I am fascinated to know more about your stitch in the ditch plate for your walking foot please?
I could do with a hybrid!

Wow Kerry – what an awesome list. I really love the courthouse steps variation you’re working on for the swap – great pattern and fabrics. Good luck getting lots done 🙂
